FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots’ offense was dealt a serious blow Wednesday when it was revealed that starting left tackle Nate Solder will be lost for the rest of the 2015-16 campaign.

According to a team source, Solder will require season-ending surgery for a torn right biceps suffered late in the first half of Sunday’s 30-6 victory over the Cowboys in Arlington, Texas....

“Yeah, that was a call they made and we’re just going to roll forward and see what happens,’’ the 6-foot-8-inch, 325-pound Solder said before exiting the locker room with an ice pack on his arm.

Bill Belichick on replacing Nate Solder:
In-house options are capable

Belichick didn’t reveal the team’s plan, which will either be flipping seven-year veteran Sebastian Vollmer (6-foot-8, 320 pounds) from right tackle to left tackle, or simply inserting five-year veteran Marcus Cannon (6-5, 335) at left tackle, but spoke confidently about both players.

Edelman broke his pinky finger, on a TD.

He's still going to play.

I **** love Edelman. I have since 2012 honestly. One of my favorite Patriots players ever.

Wow I didn't even know you could jump over the line like that. That's wicked..why don't more teams do that? lol

I don't know the exact rules/definitions but if you hit a player while doing that you get whacked with a 15 yard penalty. It has to do with those safety rules like last year when Chris Jones pushed players forward during a FG attempt.

Idk the rules either, I did hear the guy say it's a penalty if he touches somebody while doing it. At first glance on a **** link I actually thought he stepped on one of the Patriots' back to hop over, it wasn't until the replay that I saw it was a clean jump.

One would think we would see more of these during game winning field goal attempts, which are nearly never blocked anyways.

Timing is huge with it too. You really have to know the snap count or you're either going to jump the gun or be too late. I think teams are just too scared of the penalties and I don't there's a bunch of people in the league that can pull that off. Chancellor and Collins are freaks to begin with.
