Best part is Borges is not around to try and take a s**t on the acquisition. This must be killing him. When he is finally given a chance to write about it, it will be old news

Quiet, or Roger Goodell will make the Bengals trade us Ocho Cinco for our 7th Rounder.

And you know- the defense isn't "half bad", either.

My boner still hasn't gone away. I think I may have to contact my doctor because I'm having one of those erections thats lasting more than 4 hours.

"Randy Moss put his money where his mouth is to come to New England. The wideout accepted a one-year deal worth $3 million, with $2 million in earned incentives. He had been due to make $9.75 million this year and $11.25 million next year, but tore up that deal."

Wow, and the deal gets even better. Moss leaves $15M on the table to become a New England Patriot.

You gotta love the hard-hitting analysis by the globe;

Moss would project as a starter at one of the team's outside receiver spots.

For what it's worth, Moss is saying all the right things so far, and then some.

Being a Marshall guy, do you know Troy Brown and did he have any impact on you when he was there?

Can't believe y'all got him for only a 4th rounder, that's larceny. I guess y'all can go ahead and be penciled in for the Super Bowl next year..

As a Packer fan, I hope you go undefeated so I can send your victory DVD to our a$$hole GM for botching this one. I couldn't believe it when I heard, and I'm going to be pissed about this one for the next decade.

I heard our GM "woke up" to find that Moss had been traded. And then I'd heard that Moss and Belichick had been talking at like 2 am. This means that Ted Thompson was just counting sheep, while real football minds were talking trade. Pathetic.

Oh, but we picked up some James Jones in the third round. He's evidently better than Moss, I guess.

Well, according to Schefter...Moss wanted to be a Patriot and would only restructure his contract for them. I think he forced Oakland's hand and had a lot of say into where he was going to be dealt.

I'm not so sure this deal was about the Packers not wanting to give up a 3rd or 4th rounder as much as it is not wanting to pay a WR $10M a year, who has caused problems on a team losing before, and wanted to be elsewhere. I don't think thought I could blame Thompson for that if I were a Packers fan.

Packer insiders say that Moss would've restructured his contract. And there are a few articles that suggest that Moss wasn't against being a Packer, but rather, TT decided he wasn't worth more than a 5th rounder, while believing that the Patriots would only give up a 6th. So when the Pats upped the ante, TT was fast asleep, only discovering that Moss had already been traded after he got to work.

http://www.madison.com/wsj/mad/sports/i ... tid=131628

The Schefter story was early in Day 1, but things changed since then, with articles confirming that the only team that the Raiders were dealing with was the Packers. And that makes sense, since we've been the only name associated with Moss for the last few months. I find it hard to believe that the mountains of evidence were just a bunch of misinformation.

Plus I doubt Oakland would care where Moss would end up. They'd certainly prefer the highest bidder and an NFC team.

Thompson's stubborn rigidity and aversion to risk cost us Moss. He was ours if we wanted him (for the last few months), but he decided to get too cute and lowball the Raiders.

its a steal, but a HUGE risk. pats seem to be going in the opposite direction from what won 3 championships in 4 years, and that's CHARACTER. seems like they want talent more now at any cost. credit the JETS and COLTS for scaring them into setting their franchise back even further

What risk? That waste a 4th round pick that we got for free? That we waste 3 mil? There's no risk. Even if problems do arise, the team is mostly 30 year olds and is full of leaders. No risk.
