Have you noticed the desperation in the Patriots, three-time Super Bowl champs, and the moves they have made lately?

Truthfully, this wasn't a bunch of moves. It was a reaction.

And the Jets should consider it a compliment.

Sigh...

It kills me that with the finite number of jobs in the journalism industry, guys like this get cushy columnist jobs, while much more talented people--or at least people who actually think about what they're writing--have to fight to get their foot in the door.

You Read Shaun Powell. And Live on a Houseboat.

'Tannengini'...genius.

The Jets will again be the second-best team in the division. But scary? Hardly.

I like the Jets and all, but seriously.....

They haven't added a single thing to suggest they have closed the considerable gap in talent from last season. Thomas Jones? A mid first round pick, spent on a position where players take a long time to develop and rarely make an immediate impact? What a joke.

No. We're easily the best team in the division. I'd be shocked if the Jets came close.

They scare me just alittle. We have had a bigger off-season than them + we were better than them during the regular and post season.

Patriots big off season additions:

Randy Moss
Adalius Thomas
Wes Welker
Kelly Washington
Donte Stallworth
Kyle Brady
Brandon Meriweather

Jets big off season additions

Thomas Jones
Darrelle Revis

Huh? We won the division last year and almost made it to the super bowl. We're trying to compensate for something?

We're trying to win a Super Bowl again... sorry for trying. Shoudl we have just standed pat and been a rollover in the playoffs or let the Jets pass us? No. Sorry for improving.

the jets kind of scared me, more cause they take chances and it paid off.

but after our offseason, the jets are just another notch in the win column.

I'll give them credit for making the playoffs last year, but they are gonna be blown away and finish in a distant 2nd this year to the Pats in the AFC East. Our team is stacked.
