Patriot Ledger: Pats, Samuel close in on a deal

Well, the article is too big for me to quote so here is the link:

It definitely seems like they are going to get a deal done, but we'll see.

Yeah, I would be pumped. It would not only be great to have him back, but it would tell something to upcoming expiring rookie contracts, like vince, and warren.

Boston herald is disputing this report. But like I said in a different thread either way expect him to be in a pats uni by game 1.

yeah, like having them and having the best defensive line in the league is way more important than a good cherry picker. there is less question in my mind about warren and wilfork being here ALAP than anyone but seymour and brady

I'm still all for trading him. He isn't worth what he thinks he is.

The past two years showed us that that forumula doesn't work right now. Whats wrong with getting Moss and Thomas? There aren't that many Bruschi-esq players out there who stay loyal to a team and take pay cuts

Our secondary is one of this team's only question marks. If we can resign him without losing other important pieces to the cap IMO we have to.

To defend Thomas he did take the lesser contract to come to NWE. I believe it was the Niners who offered him more.
