Moss will not be playing this week, but will likely play next week according to Schefter (from about 2 days ago).

Much better game from the Pats. Just a couple players I wanted to comment on.

Maroney looked pretty good, he had some rust on him, however I have no doubts he can get the job done.

Sammy Morris, I didn't know this guy ran so hard. Very nice to see I think he'll be just fine as the number 2 guy.

Wes Welker, He's small and not very fast. However he seems to always be open. Would not shock me if he leads the Pats this season in catches.

As for Marcellus Rivers he played for the Giants for four season then a year with the Texans. Last season he didn't get into a game. Never done a whole lot in the league and if Brady, Watson, and Thomas are healthy he won't make the team.

The left side of the line looked pretty good last night in traditional pass-blocking schemes. Brady was given all sorts of time and looked very comfortable scanning the field for secondary options.

Some of their zone blocking was a little sloppy but it was much better than in the first two games. The right side, especially: they were opening up some very wide lanes for both Morris and Maroney.

Both backs looked good last night; Maroney was hesitating a little in the backfield but got a bit more assertive with each carry and Morris was just punishing the defense. He's a lot stronger than I remember in Miami.
