A lot of money for a number 4 receiver, plus Gaffney's not much worse.

I'll miss Reche and those big beautiful eyes of his.

Actually I think Gaffney is a better reciever than Reche. He had a nice season for the Pats, but there was no need for him.

gaffney has worked himself ahead of reche, and we expected one of them to go.

good luck buddy.

From what I've read Gaffney was never an option to be cut. It was between Reche and Washington.

Actually it looks like Reche will be going against the Pats on Sunday.

well the last two weeks no. im talking a little broader. when we signed all the new receivers, the speculation was that either caldwell or gaffney would be cut as all of the newly signed players were theoretically, more talented receivers.

fast forward to training camp, and gaffney is pretty sharp right off the bat, caldwell is so so. once we got to camp, it was pretty obvious reche would be the one left in the cold, but that doesnt mean i am inaccurate in saying we expected one fo them to go, and it doesnt mean that just because gaffney has secured his spot, tha he wasnt equally on the bubble with caldwell in the offseason up to training camp.

and i was pretty comfortable with the fact that washington would make the team, having followed his career and knowing his special teams value in addition to receiving

the jets brought him in for a meeting but they have five active wide receivers, two of which are young players they are developing. id be very surprised.

theres been no contract offer or anything reported however. thy met with hawkins but i wuldnt assume hed be on their roster either

I guess I'd agree. Reche's sample size with us was bigger, but Gaffney was more dependable toward the end of the year.

Gaffney was able to step up when it matter most. He had a lot of work to do coming into last season very late. I said when we got him he would be a very good reciever, it just took him some time.

I guess Dallas has contacted Reche as well.

he came on midseason too, so he didnt have the benefit of the early prep that caldwell did, which makes his late season performance and quick start this year more impressive. he was pretty good back in college

He signed with the Skins. I guess our brass has given up on Brandon Lloyd and Reche will soon be the no. 3 receiver.
