The Patriots' cameraman was suspected of aiming his camera at the Jets' defensive coaches who were sending signals to their unit on the field, the sources said. The league also is investigating some radio frequency issues that occurred during the game.
Pretty juicy stuff its not the first time its happened.

Riiight. I heard something that this was done against the Packers last season as well...I doubt there will be punishment though.

Of course there won't be or you'd have to punish 31/32 of the league for trying to steal signs.

crap. every team in the league does this. no punishment will come.

how different is this than bringing in but not signing players who were just cut by your next opponent, or to mlb teams trying to steal a catchers signs.
i dont think its something that should be overlooked, but it certainly is being overblown if anyone thinks the pats are the only ones who have done this.
also, how much benefit could it even have?

At least it will give the Jets fans something to whine about and to take their minds off a 7-9 season.

I'm glad they're stealing signs.

The difference is this is something the league can police. It's like when Timberwolves were punished for the illegal Joe Smith deal. The Timberwolves weren't the only team to have an illegal agreement with a player, the Timberwolves were just the only team that was dumb enough to put it in writing.

wtf? you gotta be kidding me.
its one thing to steal signs and its another thing to use video camera to tape and breakdown defensive signaling and playcalling during the game.
cant believe people are in denial for
rule breaking

I'm sure every team breaks rules. So get off your damn high horse.

Yep they are all cheating(because you said they are) but the patriots got caught red handed.

If you don't think other teams try that kind of stuff or try and get a hole of playbooks your naive. Yes the Pats got caught, but people are making way too big a deal of this issue.

plus, its ironic and telling the difference between what players and coaches are saying.
a young coach like mike tomlin sounds pretty righteous while norv turner who's been around the block basically acknowledges its something thats done and known.
hines ward and mike strahan are trying to undermine what the team has done, but im sure if old school guys like belichick have stolen signs so have old school guys like cowher. (hear me hines? not like youre a saint either. ive seen many a questionable block go uncalled, and yea that trot brown punt return in '01 really depended on your defensive signals... plus, videotaping hand signals has nothing to deciphering your audibles. im surprised you dont know, but "hand signals" are motions and "calls" are audible vocal statements, moron)
its also ironic that just last week a big topic of conversation was "no matter how good the coaching or strategy, it comes down to execution" and now all of a sudden all these players who have been out executed on the field, think they are entitled to question the validity of that. we could just as easily say "what if harrison was healthy the past two years" or "what if drew bledsoe never got hurt"
what happens happens, and if signals were a big part of that im less pleased, but it doesnt change anything.

Tom Brady has always owned us so this is not making any excuses at all. It's not the cheating part but its getting caught cheated AFTER the commish warned you last year and warned every single team before the season started.
The NFL should could down very hard on Bellicheat like he did the players.
high draft Picks, Fines in 7 figures as well as multiple game suspension.

I'm guessing a third round pick and a fine. I don't see them suspended Bill.

it would be interesting to see mcdaniels coach a game though (couldnt see pees doing it, plus itd be easier to have mcdaniels lighten his load as brady makes so many adjustments anyway
