Interesting how no one mentions the recent high powered Rams or Colts teams of the 2000s. Yet, the current Patriots are running up the score in games this season or the team is lucky to have won the game.

Wow.

The blatant disrespect and dismissive attitudes of national fans in particular to the outstanding regular season of the Patriots, thus far. Is unbelievable if not astonishing.

And some wonder why Boston fans show loyalty to only their own home teams. Because the nation doesn't give a bleep about the Boston sports scene so why care about them. You turn on your TV or read your newspaper and you can probably pick which personality is hoping the Patriots fail just by his or her blanket or disguised statements on the topic of the Patriots. I'm looking at you Bettis, Marino or Shannon Sharpe. Or are they ban wagoners?

Some in the media just want to really discuss whether not the "Spygate scandal" and the losing of draft picks could affect the team short term and was it too lenient of a punishment by the commissioner. Will Moss turn on the team? Can they go undefeated. This consumption with Brady breaking Peyton Manning's single season touch down record. And so on.

It's like the Patriots are becoming the team to dislike like any other successful franchise in recent memory. I find it ironic and a tad amusing that this same Patriots franchise was once deemed boring to the national media. They don't score a lot of points and there's no "stars" on their roster. Now that the team has a more potent offense this season with upgraded talent in specific areas. The Patriots are scoring too many points. They're cheaters or no longer the modeled franchise in the league.

Again, the national fans and media are a joke. Not everyone but the ones who choose to run their mouths and not say anything of validity.

I say, get over yourselves and get use to it. The Patriots are going to be a good franchise for a little while longer.

I mean the issue of recording signals and what have you was an isolated incident and in no way reflects the players. Now was it a misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the league rules by Belichick. I can't answer that question. It's baffling to everyone and not just the national media. Boston fans all the same. But, I believe as a fan of this team that they'll overcome the adversity. Setbacks are just that. A setback. You move on and learn from your mistakes. Why turn on the franchise now? Why discredit a victory?

National fans should just worry about their own teams and stop coming up with ways to beat the Patriots. You aren't going to beat the Patriots. You don't play professional football. Only their opponents are in a position to beat the Patriots and that hasn't happened yet.

Someone once said "i wouldnt be parnoid if everone wasnt out to get me". To me you're overreacting, a lot of people i talk to, and they arent from New England, really like the Pats. Brady is Mr. GQ and pretty much the envy of every guy in the country, Randy Moss has his legions, Wes Welker is the underdog people gravitate to and Belichek is the coach that people would love running their team, even if he is annoying at times.
Lighten up and enjoy the ride.

Gregg Easterbrook is usually one of their best writers, only he's become stupid and bandwagonish since Spygate. Damn shame.

But hey, the Pats were getting the nice end of the media stick for years, so I can't really complain that much.

I personally think these beatdowns are the greatest thing ever and I hope we keep doing it. I loved how Bellichek pretty much didnt respond to the question about running up the score. He said so much by saying so little.

Please understand that I think this Patriot team is historically great.
I respect the talent that is being shown each week.
AMAZING.

My problem is the running up the score with the stars in the game when they should be out. It is classless.

I DO NOT want to see a star like Brady or Moss get hurt in a game when they are supposed to be playing. It would be a shame.

However, when Bellichek has them in up 38-0 or 42-7 someone is inevitably going to take a cheap shot and I HOPE THAT THEY SUCCEED.

Then, the Pats fans will be whining and fans of the other 31 teams will be celebrating since the Pats will deserve to be treated with a lack of class like THEY demonstrate when they run up scores with the stars on the field.

This is professional sports. The players are playing to score as many points as possible and win the game. If you don't like it, stop them. Or hit them in the mouth like you said. Either in my book, is acceptable. Whining about it won't do much good. If you want it to stop you gotta hit them hard, or beat them on the field.

When a national fan calls up WEEI today to say that he'll pay the $10,000 fine to take out Brady if he were a player just to give his team a chance at winning the game even if he's out only two or three plays. That's disgusting... Is this what it has come to? You've national fans who contemplate the idea of severely injuring a key player or a player in general on the Patriots just so that they'll have a chance, in their minds, to win or because they so strongly believe that the Patriots are doing what several teams before them have done. That's disgusting...

i think your missing the point... it really has nothing to do with points scored.. it has to do with the fact that their star QB was in there throwing deep passes while being up 38 points..

now im not saying to just go out there and take a knee.. but if you want to throw deep passes at least put in your backup QB ..
