All that I am about to say is assuming the Pats continue to play like they have the past two weeks and do not step it up and improve:
It pains me to say it, but we are going down this weekend to the Steelers. The blueprint is out there to stop the Pats, run the ball and keep the Patriots offense off the field. Be physical with the WR's. Double cover Moss b/c the Pats cant run the ball. The Pats can't run the ball either. Maroney sucks and should be cut. Blitz Brady with a variety of looks, and blitz often. Matt Light sucks, the oline is on the more overrated aspects of this team, along with the secondary. The Steelers have a great defense and physical players. They can run the ball with Willie Parker, and unlike Philly and Baltimore, the Steelers have a great QB in Roethlisburger, who will rip our secondary apart. Ellis Hobbs is horribly overrated. The Patriots cannot play against the Steelers like they have against the Eagles and the Ravens. Do we have a shot at winning? Hell yes. My head is saying that you gotta lose eventually. Steelers win 24-20.

I also think that we'll probably lose this game, but not because I think the Steelers are better or have the right personel. I think that our opponents are playing out of their minds because everyone wants to be the ones to prevent history and knock us off. Meanwhile our team is treating these games like what they are...regular season games that dont mean that much. We only need to win 2 games to clinch homefield advantage, which is going to happen since we still have the Jets and Dolphins. Unless our players decide to play for real, we arent going to beat the Steelers if they come out hard (Anyone notice how all of a sudden we started being able to tackle late in the 4th when we atually might have lost the game?).

Thats definately a factor - as well as the fact our last three games have been primetime. So our opponents have had the ability to do it in front of a truly national audience.
We also might be holding back at least some strategies/plays for the playoffs. Or we might not be. Who knows.

BBJ, I don't think this is good karma for the thread. please make your own original thread. 12-0 right now. lets not change what's got us here.
for thise week, I see major changes with our scheme on defense- specifcially- i don't see us giving away the inside of the field like we have the last 2 weeks. im hoping we play one of the younger guys (woods or alexander) and move thomas back to the inside. he got destroyed last week.
maybe we will see some of rodney harrison play some olb this week, go with merriweather and sanders as our safetys and let adalius stay on the inside. may adaliius gets the job of marking heath miller.
we need to bring pressure this week, im not sure. big ben is one big bitch and almost impossible to bring down. i will be sick if i see seymour try to arm tackle him (like i have seen a couple times in the past)
additionally, a couple of years ago, i saw one of the hardest hits a patior has delivered on opposing quarter in the past few years against a qb- Don Davis, playing safety blitzed and drove Big Ben seeminly 6 feet under. I hope one our guys deos the same to him again on Sunday.

This blueprint for stopping the Patriots hasn't really worked that well.
Do people forget that Pittsburgh just beat Miami by three points? And lost to the Jets? And beat the Browns by 3. And lost to Denver. And Arizona.
Probably the best team the Patriots will face, but the Patriots should still be favored by over a touchdown.
