BC fans: Is Matt Ryan really good as the media says he is?

I only saw part of BC last year vs. V.Tech & it was Ryan leading BC to victory at the end. I saw more of Brian Brohm the last 2 years & I feel that he should be considered the no.1 QB in the draft. More of a franchise QB. Ryan was only talked about last year. Is Ryan that good? Does he be getting bad calls in his favor like Brady Quinn did with the Crying Irish? Or do you feel that ESPN is saying he's a franchise QB just because he plays in the New England area & led BC to a bunch of wins this year. Most of the sports teams in that area was very successful last year. In your opinion, what makes him considered the no.1 QB in the draft & not Brohm or Woodson?
