Webster is just plain Awful.

When I think of Webster, I think of Mark Blount. Remember how much Celtics fans hated Mark Blount and wanted bodily harm inflicted on him? Thats how Falcons felt about Webster. I lived in Atlanta during Webster's tenure with the team. For almost 2 years, every conversation I had with Falcons fans involved a comment like the following:

"Webster f'n sucks, I can't believe he is stealing this much money from the team"

And we now have a recipient of the Tebucky Jones Memorial Throwaway Cornerback Contract.

i cant imagine hes as bad as tebucky if we signed him and expect him to play any, because if anyone knows tebucky, its bill and co.

not as familiar with webster as i am with most DBs

I think he'll be ok... although right now it looks like he starts or its Merriweather. If Webster does start we'll have the 2 smallest corner in the league.

Webster isn't starting at CB. I think they'd bring back Troy Brown to start before giving Webster the reigns.

Pure depth signing. The last guy on the depth chart.

i think meriweather would certainly start before webster...unless webster comes out of nowhere as twice the player hes been before

BTW, definitely dont want pacman here, as the globe and herald reported we may have some interest. i guess they wouldnt be doing their due diligence if they didnt see how cheaply he would come but...

Yeah, seconded. Usually I couldn't give a **** about character issues because they're always overblown, but Pacman is a special case. He's just going to continue to get suspended and he'll be out of the league within a couple years after he's charged with murder.

Thirded. I don't care if he's a complete douche, but I'd rather have a player who is allowed to actually play football once in a while.

I don't care if he was accused of torturing blind children on Christmas morning, Pacman is easily one of the three best corners in the league at the absolute nadir of value. I'd bring him in and give him the one-strike rule.

I guess, but I don't envision a scenario where he actually is on the field to play football. He's just going to get suspended (perhaps unjustly, but still) and then you'll be out your best CB and you'll be forced to throw someone else into the fire mid-season. Just get someone who can play.

If they wanna bring him in I'm all for it, but only because of my unwavering trust of this front office.

Yeesh, he was only waterboarding them. Leave the guy alone.

But yeah, he's too good to not give a low-risk dice roll if the opportunity came up.
