One year/ two million dollars. Outside of some concerns on the O line our offense is pretty much set.

Gaffney > Stallworth

$2 million's decent. If Gaffney goes off this year, which he probably will, he's gone in 2009.

Oddly enough one of my favorite Pats players. So obviously I'm really happy with the signing.

Im only upset that it isnt a longer contract. I like Gaffney and think he was an overall better reciever than Stallworth.

stallworth is a better receiver but we really don't have room for him in this offense.

brady seems to be comfortable with gaffney and gaffney is also a good fit for us- good move by the pats. i am also impressed we got him for only 2 mill.

we will try to develop chad jackson this year. if it doesn't work out, then we might try to give gaffney a longer term deal next year

I would've liked to have locked him up for a few extra years, but you can't complain about the price tag. He was the team's best receiver by the end of 2006 (and into the 07 playoffs) and will do fine as the third option now.

plus i think well see more from kelley washington, who was not so long ago considered part of the "best 3 man wr corps"* (chad johnson-tj houshmandzadeh-washington before he got hurt)

*according to many analysts at the time

Sure you're not thinking of Chris Henry?

yes it was before chris henry

washington had quite a rep before his injury in cincy, and then he became the forgotten man

i mean he wasnt great, it was as much hype as anything but he had like 25-30 catches and a couple touchdowns for two straight years if i remember right

I'm very happy with this; He should take Donte's starting spot with Moss and Welker in the slot.

ill be interested to see what chad jackson is able to do, if anything. we rarely move up for a player, and considering the thing that most impressed the pats was jackson's absorbtion of the plays he was given, his lack of impact is surprising.

im not expecting much at this point however, huge disappointment so far, even with injuries and depth chart considered. still too early to say bust though.
