Should we go after Edge?

He is not returning to Arizona. I think it would be an interesting pickup!

I think his price may be a bit too much. I think I'd rather see what they can do in the draft and use Sammy Morris and bring back Jordan.

So you guys are assuming maroney is out? Me too.

Not that big a fan of edge. I really like Morris. Jordan too, they should re-sign him. And like SSK said, look in the draft for a younger guy, I think Donald Brown is staying at UCONN, but he would be a nice selection if he were to drop in later rounds.

Also, don't forget BenJGEllis. I liked how he ran this season.

Hell no to James. Dude hasn’t been able to run since he left the auspices of the Colts offense.

Maroney’s as good as gone: I think they’ll probably head into the season with BJ-E, Jordan, and Morris as their backs.

Not a fan. He hasn't been the same since he left the Colts. He also said something about not wanting to be a blocker and said he won't be back in AZ while they're trying to win a title. Classy

bumping this thread to wonder if any has interest in McGahee?

Obviously the last shot of him wasn't a pretty one, but he seems to be alright according to reports. And they also say he could be gone from BAL. He played pretty well towards the end of the year, pair him in there with morris and/or Maroney. And they have themselves a nice backfield.

We should definantly look into it.

McGahee's never been more than a league average back with an oversized workload. Outside of being relatively healthy for a RB through his career, he doesn't bring much to the table that isn't already there.

I'm fine with dumping Maroney and standing pat otherwise. Morris and Jordan were both very productive when healthy last year, and it's not worth the draft pick or cap space to go get someone else.

I'd like to see the team try and bring in a speed back. Then you have Morris, Jordan, and the speed guy to change up the pace. You still have Kevin Faulk on passing downs.

Two more cuts that the patriots could look at. Fred Taylor RB. And Chris McCallister CB from the Ravens.

McCallister seems like a good fit. Established veteran. We need secondary help.

edit: Clayton mentioned the patriots as a possible destination for Taylor.

I wouldn't be against Taylor or McAllister joining the Pats. If McAllister could ever stay healthy maybe he could help the team. And Taylor I still think he's got juice left in his legs.

I thought you were joking at first. We really did sign Tully.

Hmm, not sure what to make of this. I really wasn't a fan of him his first stint. Why did the patriots act so fast? You see other guys (Taylor, McAllister) and you think, perfect fit. But they have yet to set up any visits, and signed TBC right away.

A cut later on I am watching is Jason Taylor. I feel the pats will swoop in fast and grab him if the redskins cut him loose.

Marvin Harrison cut. Should we get back at the colts for taking Vinatieri from us?

Seriously though, depending on the price, he is an upgrade from Jabar last year.

Didn't mean to get your hopes up, It's not official, yet. But NFL network is reporting he is expected to be cut. Found it in the general off-season thread on the general board.
