FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Four New England Patriots players, including receiver Randy Moss, were sent home from Gillette Stadium for being late for an 8 a.m. meeting Wednesday, according to a league source.

In addition to Moss, the other players were defensive end Derrick Burgess and linebackers Adalius Thomas and Gary Guyton, according to the source. The players were apparently delayed by weather conditions. All four were absent from Wednesday afternoon's practice.

The story was first reported by the Providence Journal.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick did not confirm the report.

"Anything that happens with discipline on the team will stay between me and the players," Belichick said Wednesday morning.

From my understanding, it's been snowing mighty hard up in the Northeast. If that's the case, it's understandable that the guys ended up missing the meeting inspite of them trying to weather the storm. I can't say however they will or should be punish for the issue. Weather isn't something man can control. It's an event we have to wait out until the storm clears.

I watched the front end of a Mitsubishi get cleared out by a pickup this morning when it spun out into the oncoming lane. It was only driving 30.

Why are they being sticklers about this again?

I guess they're being sticklers cause they're losing, but it's still pretty ridiculous. I'm not liking the happenings going on in Foxboro right now.

When Randy Moss isn't happy, Mossman has the potential to unravel entire franchises. Just look what he did to the Vikings and Raiders in year's past.

if you are making multi millions a year, you need to show up on time to team meetings. Leave 2 or 3 hours early if need be. The weather channel exists for a reason. And if anyone saw Adalius Thomas interview after the fact he did not do much to place himself in a positive light and you may not see him in a pats uniform again in my opinion. Belichek does not tolerate players shedding him in a bad light to the media.

Completely agree with Bill here, though I think way too much is being made out of this.

It's New England, and this small storm was known about days in advance. Just assume the night before your trip is going to take an extra fifteen minutes and you'll be fine. 56 other guys managed to make it in on time, when the team is going through it's toughest stretch of the year, they should too.
Adalius really made a fool out of himself too during this, when does he get cut? during the season or after?
