I'm old enough to remember when every Laker proposal on the trade forum tried to dump Wiggins. Don't call busts too quickly.

Don't know why so many people (including Pacer brass?) are so determined to move Turner. He's good enough and young enough to be a part of something really good if the Haliburton and the other youngsters are as good as they look like they can be.

I think this is 2 parts and I am a big Turner apologist.

1. Is the sport side. He’s a 6-foot-11 beast athlete that’s never averaged 8 or more rebounds per game in his career. He’s only averaged 7 or more rebounds per game three out of his seven seasons in the NBA.

2. Is the business side. He’s in the final year of his deal with the Pacers at $18 million per year. He hasn’t talked much in public, and we surely don’t know what he’s thinking behind closed doors. But he’s endured a lot of losing with the Pacers and just in a matter of a few months saw Oladipo, Sabonis, and Brogdon leave. Maybe he thinks he’s due for a change of scenery too?

Whatever the case is, if I’m the Pacers I need this guy signed long term or sent packing. He’s too valuable to lose for nothing. And the Pacers brass must have a good idea of where his head is at.

I think there is a couple more moves coming by the 7th. Look for the Cavs to send Cedi Osman to the Pacers as part of an S&T for Rubio, this lets them keep their MLE.

And I'm betting that the Pacers/Celtics deal turns into a 3 team deal or gets connected to the Kyrie to LAL that's likely to happen and Theis gets moved for some value he can definite help some team.
