Goes to show how early results can be misleading. Chuck Person was number five in scoring at that point, yet ended up as Rookie of the Year.

Also interesting is all those players are listed by both their first and last names except Tyler Hansbrough. He is simply listed as Hansbrough. Poor guy could never get any respect.

Andrew Nembhard gets the start in place of Chris Duarte. I like them bringing Mathurin off the bench.

Three half time thoughts -

1. Pacers already with 26 threes. They’re 10/26. They’re launching 3s at free will this season.

2. This is Mathurin’s worst game of his career. 0/4 and just 1pt at half time. He’s only taken threes. He’s gotta drive in and start getting some points.

3. Turner is ballin’ out. 19pts and already 8 boards at half time.

Chuck Person increased his scoring average by over 5 points a year for 3 or 4 years in a row. It was either a record or one year short of a record.

5-5 .... I'm wondering if anyone here is ready to concede we aren't as bad as everyone thought yet?

I said we needed trade Hield/Turner to be bad enough to really get into the #1 pick sweepstakes. It's early, but it's certainly looking like that's the case.

It sure looks like it but it is still very early.

That was fun. The guys were working hard, working smart and working well together. Turner was owning the court.

For me, what stood out about Turner's play is how quickly he was making decisions with the ball. He used to hesitate until an opportunity was gone. Tonight he didn't do that.

This team is so much more enjoyable to watch than the team from the last few years. Even just in style of play and movement.

This 100%

Funny thing from last night, i know Denari misspoke and meant experience, but with like 3 min left in the game he said Carlisle is closing out the game with 2 youngsters.... Mathurin and Nembhard. Didn't mention Haliburton who is same age as Nembhard. haha

Cool to close out a good win with three players 22 or younger.

I'm anxious to see more of Nembhard. He looks like a high level defender and makes good decisions with the ball. If he can be an average shooter he could be a pretty nice fit in our lineup. I think the best compliment for Ben and Hali is a guy who can guard the best player at positions 1-3. Is that Nembard?

Nembhard looks like he could be the lockdown on ball defender that the team is looking for

Sounds crazy, but Nembhard might actually be the best fit with Haliburton

I see him paired with TJ on the second unit but often being part of the closing lineup.

Last years team was really hard to watch the last 30 games or so I don't think I watched more than 15 min of them combined. Without Turner their defense was terrible, this unit looks better. Turner looks like an aircraft carrier out there he's so much bigger than the other guys. Love Nembhard, that guy should have been a #1 pick for someone. Ben looks good too, and even Buddy is looking like Reggie.

It’s funny I also noticed how big Turner looked. He’s moving pretty well in the offense so far and taking better shots it seems.
