Not gonna lie, that was a pretty crushing loss.

That was tough to watch. I really though it was gonna happen most of the game.

It was so close you could see it, you could almost touch it, or taste it. But it evaporated.
If we lose the series, this is the game people are going to look at. I feel like we threw away our best shot.
The missed free throws, and those weird off the ball fouls. Well, gotta hope they bounce back.

It looks brutal out there, like the team that wins is the one that leaves its blood and sweat on the floor.

Did anyone notice that Nembhard, Haliburton, and Nesmith were getting beat up on screen action by the Thunder ? In reverse the only Thunder player getting beat up was Chet. Pacers really needed to punish Caruso more as he looked fresh. Of course the refs might have called illegal screens on us though. I really thought the refs were not a big part of the game in games 1-3. Enter Scott Foster and his crew and I thought they were the worst. The Pacers blew it down the stretch regardless by not getting good shot selection and not stopping Shai.

we lost that game at the free throw line. as much as I'd like to blame the refs, we can't afford that many misses when we do get to the line. I was surprised when the announcers said Tyrese hadn't shot any free throws at all in the prior games. SGA didn't get a tone of and ones either. but it feels like Pat Riley and the if you foul on every play they won't call them all.

I said before the last frame would have actually preferred to be 7 down. It was somewhat sarcastic but we often struggle to have our edge defending a lead vs chasing one down.

Agree with all the sentiments that it’s a HUGE lost opportunity. I don’t see it now. 3-1, as good as they are, they weren’t wining 3 in a row. I expect we’ll go to 7 because this team fights, and anything could happen, but having to win one more on the road seems a massive challenge.

You take some of the good with the bad how the team plays.

Let’s see how we respond in game 5.

I read the 2 minute report but found it confusing. Did they find several fouls should've been no-calls? If Tyrese is backed up by the report, maybe he'll not be fined - assuming that video is real.

If you're referring to the video I posted in post #87, that was AI. Pretty well done, I'd say.

If you're referring to something that Tyrese actually said, I didn't hear it. I couldn't stomach listening to the post game comments after watching that game, it was too much of a bummer.

I choose not to watch post games after we lose so while I didn't think the video was real I couldn't be sure. I did see something on BlueSky where Carlisle said Foster was a good official though.

Hmmph. Well, I can't blame the game on the refs. I hate to say the word, but it looked like the Pacers choked. I'm sure the Thunder had some say in that too though.

My son blamed the officials and SGA does get reputation calls but we win if we make our free throws.

OKC win by 35+ points tonight. Book it.

If that happens, it would seem to indicate that the Pacers have given up.
That said, I wouldn't be shocked by a blowout, but 35 points seems a little much.

I'm being foolish, but I'm starting to get a little bit of hope back. Two of the four games have been won by the team who was losing for most of the night. And it's always possible OKC might have their own choke, as unlikely as it may seem.

This will be fun. We are very likely to keep these wins out of those Belgian Thunder hands. Go home, Ajay, it's ours : D.

I'm sure you can find someone who'll book that bet.

Not so fun so far, but I'll wait for the second half. I didn't know Ajay Mitchell was Belgian, I'm of part Belgian ancestry myself.

Best preparation for Thursday is to solve the OKC defense tonight.
