Hey, hard luck Pacers fans. And that's what it was. The effort and coaching tactics were spot on. The players did their utmost. The trades the FO made really set you up for this great run. So everyone played their part and put in the work.

You just got zapped with a tragic injury at the wrong time. The world was robbed of a classic end to game 7 and you were robbed of a possible Championship.

Best of luck to Hali in his rehab. He's a star player regardless of what the echo chambers spew out. Hope he gets back to 100%.

Well said. Great run, and it was a gift to NBA fans. Sad we were robbed of a chance at a game 7 classic. Let's all hope Hali comes back 100% and we can see more.

With all those turnovers it was almost like watching the Fever at times. What is it with Indiana teams not being able to take care of the ball?

Best team in the East.

That’s definitely something to be proud of.

Bright future ahead, still got a pretty young core (I-Jax back next season as well).

Rooting for Pascal & co.

LOL why are Knicks fans talking trash out of the woodwork all a sudden? Guy was keeping it in and waiting til Pacers lost, even if it meant Game 7 to unleash. Sorry, i didnt come on last night to defuse the situation, i was too bummed.

I still don't really know what to say. Cruel end to a dream season. But thats part of sports. Unfortunately this time it effects us and on the biggest stage (literally, it was the most watched Finals game in 6 years).

We will never know how this could've ended up. And we will be wondering that until the day comes and the Pacers win a NBA championship, thats a brutal truth.

The simple answer is OKC defense is stout. They led the playoffs with forcing 18 turnovers per game. Next closest was GSW with 15.6. In the 5 games vs. Minnesota, the Wolves kept it under 20 turnovers once. Denver kept it under 20 twice in a 7 game series.

In the regular season, the Pacers turned it over 3rd least times (13.2 turnovers per game). And OKC led the regular season with most forced turnovers with 17 per game.

Devastating way for it to come to an end.

Hali was cooking as well early. Aggressive. Hitting big shots. We were looking rock solid at that point….

Turnovers definitely cost us - we couldn’t take care of the ball and as we lost our composure it became a vicious cycle, more turnovers, more pressure to try and create something.

The Thunder has an incredible year and deserved to win, however I’m so proud of the fight our team showed along with the highly entertaining style of play.

Congrats to the team, commiserations too, and onto the next.

That's cool, I guess. Maybe it was a bunch of New York Knicks fans who were hate watching and waiting for Indy to lose.

My BlueSky reply to her post

A must read! I've been a Pacer fan from the 1st ABA game. I took my daughter who is now a grandmother to games at the Fairgrounds when she only knew to cheer for #30 (George McGinnis). My son joined us at MSA when he was a baby in a papoose. You write of childhood memories. I have parental ones.
