JO Q&A with Mike Wells

Post#1 » by count55 » Mon Jan 21, 2008 11:46 am

"Worst" season really bothers big #7

Not the sunniest of interviews.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

This will be a great chance for Ike and David to show their promise ... I'm excited to see the team playing without JO.

Too bad this ruins all his trade value that was left ... hopefully we can agree to a buyout with JO.

Willing to sit out the whole season is he? Wow now the Nets might not offer us much.

Or anything at all...I'd say his comments kill the deal.

Yeah I hope Rod Thorn doesn't see this before he offers anything decent..

I wish I had your optimism, I'd say he found out before us.

I was talking about this more than anything, the interview really don't bother me and I don't think that will kill the deal. But him saying he might sit out the seaon could.

I don't think the deal would have happened in the first place, if JO is in that bad of a condition, he wouldn't be able to pass the Nets physical. This is the team, after all, that was set to sign Raheem before he failed a physical.

I like this. We get to see how good Harrison and Ike are, and hopefully the "We play better without JO" theory works!
Rest in Peace, Pacerfan

It is a bad time to be so honest about his health, that's for sure.

Whatever. Let JO sit out all year and collect his check. I'm ready to move on from the whole thing. We'll readdress it next year. No trade. Let's get this team gelled without JO.

Rush/Granger/Dunleavy leaders. Trade Tinsley for whatever you can get. This is our team. We aren't winning the championship, so let's have fun watching them develop.

Wow, I feel so bad for JO... It almost feels wrong talking about how this sit out could actually be good for the team and the development of Ike, Hulk, and possibly Shawne... wrong to talk about how bad this hurts his trade value, both now and for the near future.

I just hope we can rally around each other. We're used to playing w/o JO, and Obie has never taken over a team and not led them to the playoffs in his first full season. Let's hope he continues that trend. Sorry JO... Get well soon has a whole new meaning...

I support JO. I am just concerned with us getting on track, and this seems like a positive development instead of a hurt JO.

You could tell he was hurt all year. He can't jump. It's been obvious, get healthy.
