You totally lost me here.......what are you trying to say here?

It's called a "come to Jesus meeting". It's generally been a Navy term for something along the lines of, "we're gonna talk this one out, make sure we're all on the same page, or you're gonna come to meet Jesus".

I'm not happy that the Pacers did nothing to improve the roster or give us some hope. That being said I do not blame Bird or "TPTB" one bit. If they made a trade they would have been doing so from a VERY weak position. Other GM's would have looked at our team and thought...

1. Their team is floundering
2. Their star wants out
3. They have nearly the lowest attendance in the league
4. They are desperate to move a trouble maker (Tinsley)
5. They have some very bad contracts
6. Their fan base is pressuring them to make moves
7. Their most valuable assets are injured and therefore at their lowest value in some time.

These factors all together mean that (from a trade standpoint) our team looked like a defenseless baby seal in shark infested waters.

In a way I'm impressed that Bird had the :crowded:s to NOT make a move, and wait until we were in a better position to bargain and get a deal where our team doesn't get taken advantage of.

I'm not happy with the state of our team, but I am happy our team isn't run by Isiah Thomas, Kevin Mchale, or some other Mentally deficient GM.

We are currently in a situation where no matter what trade we pulled in February, it would not have really affected our performance down the stretch, so we are instead seeing where wend up in the lottery and the offseason, which seems to work better.
