Hopefully this topic is acceptable to start. I have been to approximately 15 games this year with Dunthreevey. Late last week, he got a call from someone with the Pacers organization offering him tickets to tonight's fan appreciation game. We go collect our tickets this evening and were pleased to see they were lower level. We scratch our appreciation night "lottery" tickets and I am the lucky winner of a Pacer's team yearbook!!! Now granted this isn't one of the jerseys which they were giving away. But it is more than what I had before the game. Plus the player survey answers are amusing. Pacers top the evening off with a win. That is enough to send me home a happy man.
But the appreciation wasn't over. After the game, players began throwing their autographed shoes and jerseys into the crowd. Just when I think all the items have been given out, from the corner of my eye I see a shoe flying out from the tunnel area. All of the sudden time goes into slow motion and all I hear is Dunthreevey yelling GET IT! GET IT!.......I end up colliding with the gentleman next to me and the shoe tumbles into a seat. I fumble in front of him and snag it up. I ended up with on of Steven Graham's game worn autographed shoe.
