Who is our team MVP

Post#1 » by glasket » Thu Apr 17, 2008 1:57 am

Now that the season is over who in your opinon deserves to be the MVP of our team.

For me Mikey D and Danny Granger stand out the most.

They were the two most consistent players and essentially our leaders for the entire year.

If it weren't for the last 5 or so games I would give the MVP award to Mike but Danny has won my vote thanks to the last few games of the season.

JO, how is he even a choice? I voted for Granger here, but Dunleavy isn't far behind.

I'd give it to Jeff Foster to be honest. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I felt his workmanlike effort in the paint was huge this year. I feel Granger and Dunleavy were kind of interchangeable this season although there are definitely differences in their respective games.

If you actually mean most valuable though in terms of most important, I think it has to be Jamaal Tinsley. He dictates our success depending on whether he plays good or bad or whether he even plays at all.

I don't see how this could go to anyone other than Granger.

Dunleavy had a great year, there is no denying that, but Granger produced better offensively and actually knows how to play defense. To me, what Dunleavy did on offense, was often nullified by his defense. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to knock him, but when comparing who was more important, him or Granger, should be a blowout in my opinion.

Fosters work ethic has always been great, but theres no way he played a more important role than Granger. I agree with Tinsley though, he is very, very important to the success of our team, but the same can be said about Granger, O'Neal, and Dunleavy. Though I think he plays a bigger role when on the court than Dunleavy, I think having Granger and JO are the most important pieces for us.

Im with pacersrule07. Jeff Foster is my MVP,he never gave up on this team when Im sure he could have by either asking for a trade,or with the back trouble he's had the past few years he could have just set out like the rest,as for Granger, and Dunleavy yes they played better when JO set out,but the only real part I seen them playing better in was there scoring, and with JO out and Tinsley not there to take up all the shooting someone had to score, but since there is only votes for three guys I'll go with Danny cause he can atleast play defence when he wants to!

Jeff added, but... I voted for Danny.

Also, the Reggies for the Players will be up this weekend.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Damn...real close between MDJ and Danny...but I think Danny has more of an effect on both ends of the floor.
