*Paul Allen doesn't give us a rats ass about luxory tax as long as we are winning.
*Granger could be the final piece to a championship puzzle with whoever we get at PG, Roy, Aldridge, and Oden.
*Roy, Aldridge, and Oden are all team first guys anyway. It doesn't mean that they won't get relatively the same contracts.

Teams Core Player salaries next year
Boston is paying its big 3 a total of over 60 million
San Antonio is paying its big 3 a total of 52 million
Lakers are paying its big 3 a toal 51 million
Detroit is paying its big 4 a total of 45 million
Phoenix is paying their big 3 a total of 47 million
Houston is paying its big 2 a total of 36.1 million
After Deron Williams extention Utah will end up paying its big 4 about 50 million in 09/10.
Same with NO and Chris Paul

I don't see why it wouldn't make sense for Portland to spend about 50-60 mil a year on its starting 5 in 3-4 years.

after re-signing Oden, Aldridge, Roy and possibly Frye, how much room are they going to have under the cap?

Webster, Jack, and Frye are all due extentions in 09/10. All 3 of them will probably be moved by then with possibly the exception of Webster because of the cap hold they would have.

Roy, Sergio, and Aldridge arn't due extentions until the following year of 10/11 and Oden and Rudy arn't due extentions until 11/12.

Blake (team option), Outlaw (team option), and Przybilla (our largest contract that year) are all under contract in 09/10 for a total of 14.8 mil.

its estimated Portland could have up to 32 mil in cap space in 09/10.

Honestly, how would you like it if one of our posters went to the Blazer section and posted "So, how can we sign Roy without ya'll ready to match it?"

First of all, it would piss you off as we would basically be saying "How can we steal your best player." Then you would respond with "Portland would match whatever ya'll would offer."

Thats basically where we are. You can forget about Danny Granger because the Pacers would not let him walk. Its really as simple as that.

Game. Set. Match.

It really is that simple. Granger is to us what Roy is to you. He ain't leaving. I can't believe this thread came all this way as it did. Go troll another team forum.

How is this trolling? I wanted to see what price tag you put on a player.

If I posted this regarding Deng last year I bet I would have had a lot of the same result. We'll pay him whatever he wants, theres no way we let him go. Next thing you know the owner refuses to pay Deng the money he thought he deserved.

If you think Indiana would match Granger getting Lebron type money then whatever.

Great post, but realisitcally, the Blaze cant sign that many top named players, whats why the NBA has a salary cap. Blaze need to worry about Oden, Aldridge and ROy, and need to build around that. You cannt have a team of superstars and pay them all

If you think anyone would offer Granger LeBron type money then you, my friend, are insane. The Blazers wouldnt throw that much money at Granger anyways. Small forward is a pretty easy position to find quality talent at...no need to make ridiculous offers to players in the hopes that their team wouldnt match.
