RealGM has us taking Jamont Gordon in the 2nd round, not Bill Walker. Bill Walker is scheduled to go a pick later.

Are we picking who we think will be the #3 pick for Minny?

or

Are we picking for the Pacers?

We are picking what we think the Pacers draft board looks like. Meaning their favorite players in order. Obviously we won't have the 5th pick, but their 5th favorite player could fall and so on. So we are saying if everyone is available, in what order would we take them. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this real well.

I'd take Bayless. I think a good athletic scoring PG will fit well with Obie's system. (a-la Philly).
Plus, i'm really thinkin Bayless has the potential to be very special in this league.

The mock draft 7.0 FINAL pre-draft mock was up for half the day, then someone changed their mind and put up the 7.1. In the 7.0 we took Jamont Gordon in the second round, but in the 7.1 there's a paragraph on how the team selecting the player is not factored in so it's actually a player ranking.

I think Mayo may be the #3 talent, but Bayless sounds like he is close, & he is a bigger need (& maybe more up-side). I would rather address the point & live w/ Dun @ the 2 rather then sit one of them of have to make a move later - unless we already have a good offer for Dun (Dun/Ike for Port's #14, Jack, & filler).
I would not hate a B.Lopez pick here either - esp if we had a way to get a PG in another deal. I see us moving Foster by the trade deadline n/y, & JO the the year after (at the latest). W/ Harrison likely gone, Lopez makes almost as much sense as Bayles. Lets just hope TPTB pick the better player between the 2.
Lastly, Trading w/ another top 7-pick team for a player & swapping picks is definately worth consideration (NY @ 5?).

havn't posted in awhile. (still licking my wounds from Fantasy BBall), but I got to say PLEASE LORD PLEASE don't let us take Mayo, i don't give a crap if he is the "a smaller Jordan or Kobe"" (which by the way I think is BS) This guy reeks more of guys like Stephon Marbury, JR Rider, and Lattrell Sprewell. I'm not ecstatic about Bayless either but I got to go with him over Mayo.

They edited the post. They originally had the Pacers and Nets spots swapped in the 2nd round but had the players in the same spot.

This is a close one, I'll keep it up a little longer to see if there is a clear winner, if no more votes start coming in I'll end it soon.

Actually the last time I was at my CPU was about 6. At that time it was tied 9 to 9 and when I had posted to keep waiting it was actually Bayless winning 9 to 8.

not necessary...count55
