Trade with Memphis

Post#1 » by pacershereiam » Sat Jun 7, 2008 9:27 pm

I was on www.hoopsworld.com and found that Memphis coule be looking to trade Javaris Crittenton. He is the third poing guard behind Conley and Lowry. I was really high on him coming out last year. I think if we could trade Diogu for Crittenton straight up would be a nice fit. Diogu won't get minutes here with us, and Crittenton could come right in and be the second poing guard behind Tinsley and eventually start when he gets hurt. He is a big poing guard and is very athletic.

Conley
Miller
Gay
Warrick
Darko

Tinsley/Crittenton/Diener
Dunleavy/Daniels
Granger/Williams
Oneal
Foster/Murphy
Draft a center prospect like a DeAndre Jordan or maybe go after Marresse Speights. I would love to get Speights, I am so high on him. If we can get Speights who reminds me of Al Jefferson or Al Horford, he could really come in and start at Center. I wouldn't mind this at all.

Seems reasonable to me. Maybe through in our 2nd rounder.

I don't think its worth it. I perfer Diener to Crittendon. Also, if Crittendon is going to make an immediate impact with us, why is he ranked behind Lowry?

If all it cost us was Diogu and a future 2nd round pick, I'd do it. I think Crittenton has a lot of potential and would get the playing time he needs here as opposed to battling Conley and Lowry for court time.

It's nice to see that one Diener freak got a new username :(

Crittenton has a ton of potential. I'd love to do this trade, but honestly I doubt they do it. He was a pretty big part of the Gasol trade where I think they ended up embarassed by everyone in the league for doing the trade.

I'd do it, but without giving up any draft picks if possible-- a small move like this could make a big impact on our roster down the road.

I'd trade the 11th pick, Shawne Williams, Ike Diogu, and a future second rounder for Conley...or anything else on our roster short of Granger.
