They're entitled to their opinions, but I'd have to disagree. Ray Allen may end up challenging a lot of Reggie's shooting records, but he has not proved he can carry a team to the Finals like Reggie did. Reggie had Jalen Rose and Rik Smits, while Ray Allen has Pierce and KG. I don't think there needs to be an explanation on who had the better supporting cast. Ray Allen is the third wheel of that trio, while Reggie was the leader of his team.

Then they are clearly the greatest homers to ever exist. Let them think in their delusional ways, but I had a feeling if they could pick either Reggie or Allen in their prime, every one of them would take Reggie, the ones who wouldn't couldn't tell the difference between Jordan and Diener.

I cant think rationally about Reggie Miller and cannot get into a discussion anyone who thinks he is anything less than a deity...so I'll refrain from reading what the Celtics fans have to say.

That's their prerogative.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

On a serious note, Ray Allen is a very good player. You all know how I feel about Reggie, but in his prime Ray Allen might have been more of a scorer (if only because his teams needed that from him more than we ever needed from Reg).

Where Reggie has him is in the heat of the moment, when he came through more often than not and Allen appears to have disappeared more often than not. It seems as though Reggie will last longer as well.

However, it seems as though Ray might get a damn ring.

Well, the truth has already been pointed out adequately in this thread,. Noway--Allenhasalways been a second banana, and always wi ll be. Reggie wasa leader, andmuch more cluth than Allen.

And everyone knows how obnoxious Boston fans are--all those good teams wasted on them.

It's about impact. Reggie Miller changed the definition of pure shooter like Rick Barry before him. His stats won't line up to Ray Allen's, but he revolutionized the idea of moving without the ball and scoring jumpers without dribbling. He tore up defenses in a style of play that when people like Rip Hamilton do it, it's called the "Miller Method". Reggie did more with less natural athleticism. But what it really comes down to is this: Reggie Miller did what it took to consistently bring his team to the next level. When Reggie Miller fell short, it wasn't because of him, it was because the other team was simply better. Ray the better player? Arguable. Reggie the better competitor? There should be no question.

Honestly, some of these forums on realgm are very uneducated when it comes to the game of basketball. I don't ever post anywhere besides my own home here, but when theres a big game or big topic i do tent to visit the other forums and see what fans say. I have checked the Boston forum often this season because they have been unreal all season and their fans strike me as pretty uneducated. Ray Allen better then Reggie Miller? Not a chance. They are only basing this on that Allen might win the NBA title.

Remember in the off-season they were rumored to get Miller? He'd be winning this title as well with Allen and there would be no comparison. This is a no subject.

Well, I think the more people that post, the more uneducated posts come about. I read a lot of the Bulls' posts on lottery night and there was some headscratchers in there. With so many people posting, you are bound to get some dumb statements made. On the flipside, you also have a greater diversity of opinions, which never hurts.
