I have read some reports that Portland was looking to package 13 with their 27 pick to move up to 10 and get Augustin. Even with us out of the Augustin race (possibly), they'd still have to leapfrog Sacramento. Maybe now we could swap our 11 for 13 and 27 like the rumored Nets deal. That rumor had some other players moving around to where as I doubt we would need any other incentive than the extra pick. If we don't want Augustin then I don't see much difference between 11 and 13.

I can't find a link for my portland rumors, just a blurb on the realgm portland news. Actually, I would swap 11 for 13 and that Finnish kid (Koponen) if we had the chance. Then we could still get Rush or a good big at 13, and we'd have a young PG prospect to pair with Ford. I do think that Portland is looking to outmaneuver people and get Augustin.

i think instead of swapping our #11 for #13 and #27 Id let them keep there #27 and send us lafrentz for tinsley daniels. they get to move up and we get rid of tinsley and daniels.

But the reason i wanted the #13 was to top of our picks we have not to swap. I would really like to pick up Kosta, Aurthur, and Hibbert. I think we could pull that off with #11, #13, #17. BUt if we could move down and dump tinssley and daniels id be down

I can't see Portland taking on any bad contracts. Why should they? Especially for the priviledge of giving us their pick. I'd be fine with trying to get some asset to drop down two spots since I think the guys we're targeting (unfortunately) will still be there 2 spots later. I don't see any way that we can get a good draft pick for any of the trio you mention (Tinsley, Daniels, Diogu). Maybe a late first for one of them if a team really liked them, but I can't see Portland taking on contracts right now.

I agree with this logic 110%. The only curveball would be if someone like Gordon fell in the draft.

Yes, if somebody like Gordon or Bayless were available I would be very disappointed if we didn't take them. However, if they aren't there then I would like to see us make a deal with Phoenix or Portland to slide down a few spots and pick up something else. There are a handful of good bigs and Rush as well who would work for us in that range.

Why should they? To move up in the draft to get the pg they want so much. And i completley disagree with you that a package of Foster(vet & exp), Daniels(role player & exp), and Diogu(prospect & exp) would definatly be able to fetch a higher pick when combined. They want cap space to sign oden, aldridge, roy to big contracts and this saves them money and gives them depth and veteranship now.

I'm sorry I know this is off topic, but I gotta know, why is everyone so high on Rush? I have nothing against him really, but it just seems like there so many better options between 11 and 17.

Rush can shoot the ball and defend bigger two's relatively well. He will be a solid two guard in this league.

Hopefully LB will be watching how the draft picks fall, and when it appears that there won't be any "surprise drops" of players in the draft, definitely do the 11th for 13 and 27th picks-- I like the way this sounds right now.

I'd rather have #11 for #13, #33, and #36. It makes a lot of sense for us too. Portland goes ahead of Sacramento to take Augustin. We drop basically one spot, and it's unlikely that Sacramento gets our guy unless our guy is Roy Hibbert.

If Augustin is there at #11, that might be a solid option. I'd do it too, unless Bayless, Gordon, or Lopez fell to us. Even then, I'd have to think about it. I like Petteri Kopponen.

Portland would love to make that deal right now.
