he knows dunleavey is better, but he wants to have a spark off of the bench and rush is probably the better defender out of the two so switch them and have dunleavy just play more minutes than rush off the bench even tho rush starts...

I think you are one of maybe 3 people in this thread who read more than just the title haha.

I think it will depend on matchups. As the general consensus is Mikey D should get the bulk of minutes on an average night but when up against high calibre two's Rush will get the tough defensive assignments and maybe more playing time than normal.

I understood the question, I just think it's too early to hand tell whether Rush is ready to deal with the starting position effectively. I'm sure Dunleavy would be great in the role you're proposing, and I think it's one he's ideally suited for, but my concerns were about Brandon being ready.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I'll take it a step further, I think Dunleavy should be moved. His contract, comming off a career year, and the fact I think thats why we drafter Rush. We gave up ahell of a prospect in Bayless to get Rush. I think JOB and Bird liked him that much, they feel comfortable moving Dunleavy. We need a PF who can score in the low blocks and defend. We need to find a team weak at the 2-3 , put strong at the 4. If we are somehow able to package Dunleavy and whoever for a guy like Leon Powe for example, then Birds plan will be greatly excellerated
