Just because your team doesn't win a sectional doesn't mean you are no good. I beleive he was Mr. Basketball of Indiana his senior year.

My sister plays for Decatur Central, probably a top 15 team in the state, yet they will never get out of their sectional because it is rules by BEN DAVIS. For anyone who doesn't know... the BD girls team has about 5 or 6 D1 players on it right now, and 1 has already committed to Purdue.

When they get to regionals however there is a bigger audience and it is clear that the officiating changes and does not allow them to be as aggressive on defense, thus they lost to this year's state champ Carmel.

Luke Zeller was Mr. Basketball in Indiana that year(pretty much because of 1 shot), But McRoberts was National High School Player of the year

I'll give him a chance, but from what I've read he's been a dud thus far. From the little I've seen of him and his production, he looks to me like a poor man's Pau Gasol.

Honestly, I would feel bad if we brought him back to Indiana only to cut him. As it stands right now, some people will have to go for us to get to 15. Likely candidates at this point are Graham, Denier, Baston or McRoberts.

GO PACERS!

Ford/Jack/Diener/Tinsley
Dunleavy/Rush/Daniels
Granger/Williams/Graham
Murphy/McRoberts/Baston
Hibbter/Foster/Nesterovic

TINSLEY WILL BE THE ONE CUT

LN was in the sectional with Carmel and NC for at least a year or two of McRoberts high school career. My high school was in the same sectional. We had a power sectional with North Central, HSE, Carmel, Noblesville, LN, and Broad Ripple. Broad Ripple was about the only easy win in that sectional.

I think a couple of people are confusing Carme's sectional with their conference.

They are in the same conference as Ben Davis, Terra Haute North, Terra Haute South, Warren Central, Center Grove, North Central, and Lawrence North

In reference to McRobert's struggle in sectionals, understand a couple of things. They always, and I repeat always, got burned by North Central. Carmel was a well coached team with a superstar (McRoberts) but as far as athleticism goes, at the time they were mediocre to above average. No one could keep up with Eric Gordon on the perimeter. Even Jordan Campbell burned them a couple times as I recall. McRoberts singlehandedly destroyed Pike's 40 game home win streak. He was a terror that game and he took it upon himself to take over. If you go back to the famous LN-Carmel matchup, it was just evident that McRoberts couldn't handle Oden, making Carmel's best and only player utterly useless. Now it is a different story since Carmel has since swiped Pike's 2 best recruits and formed a great team around them and are primed for another great run. As far as the pro's go, he CAN shoot and he isn't worthless outside of 3 feet like a previous poster said. He routinely hit 15 footers in high school. He was actually a SF for a bit until his growth spurt. If he gets on the right conditioning and training regiment, I honestly believe he could be a 15-7-4 guy and I dont even like McRoberts. Someone just needs to light a fire under his ass, and you can hope the reality of not making an NBA roster again will be just what he needed.

I went to almost every blazer game, and Josh was a lot of fun to watch the two times he got any playing time. From what I've seen of him, the guy is a great role player. The thing he can do is pass and shoot. The two minutes he played one game, he made 2 out of 3 of his mid range shots, had a steal, and an offensive rebound. The crowd loved it.

He was never going to get any burn behind Aldridge and Frye, but I could see him get a few more chances with the pacers. Of course when I met Josh, he was sort of an ***. Jack on the other hand will play IMO and is an outstanding locker room leader.

Thanks for taking the time to give that input. I really appreciate it. It's nice to get a different perspective. Also, I like the comments on Jack, and I add a little more weight to them coming from Portland fans because I think your city's experience and our city's experience with our NBA teams over the last decade or so have been pretty similar. I would think that we'd have pretty similar POV's...not identical, but more similar than you'd normally expect...particularly when it comes to character-type issues.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.
