I get that Jarret Jack has flaws in his game like some others, but I really love his style. He seems as hard nosed as they come and would run through a brick wall if it meant getting a win. I can accept mistakes from a guy like that more than I can accept mistakes from Tinsley and Jackson, who were talented but would yawn on the court and create chaos off of it. Jack won't be perfect, but he will be someone you can't cheat off of on defense, he will be a nice change of pace from Ford and won't allow the Jason Kidd's and Chauncey Billup's of the world to take advantage of him due to size, and will be a leader on this team. I have always liked him as a player.

To a point, I agree with you. He's definitely a guy who puts winning above everything. He's a high character guy, great in interviews, and a solid leader on the court. I also can totally see how his mistakes are easier to take than those of a guy like Tinsley, who's a knucklehead.

Trust me, his mistakes will start to grate on you, however, he's an easy guy to root for even with the mistakes. Also, it's not always true that teams can't cheat off him on defense. He can go through some major shooting slumps. But he'll usually give you a good game a week and a great game once a month. His only other major problem is his confidence. Mentally he can go through confidence slumps when cause his game to drop off.

Overall though, I do honestly really like Jack and I'll miss him on the Blazers. I certainly won't miss the cringe inducing TO's, but he was a great guy in the lockerroom and in the community. I truly wish him the best in Indy.

I tend to disagree with most of my fellow Blazer fans. I like Jack a lot. He plays with intensity, I love his size, he's a great free throw shooter and very good at getting to the line. He's not a pure PG but he's a great guard off the bench. He won us some games single handidly, but some Blazer fans act as if he lost other games single handidly. For some reason he became Blazer fans' favorite whipping boy. Point guards take longer to develop than any other player, and I think Indianna will benefit from all of Jack's experience and development in Portland. He may never be an all star but he could EASILY be a Derek Fisher type. I hope he does well for you guys.
