Couldn't be happier. Sounds like Larry is trying to make Jamaal sound as if there is some value there.

Well there is....

Anybody that knows Tinsley will tell you he's got a Warriors heart and soul, and will compete on one leg if he has to.

That warriors mentality is part of the reason why he's injured so much, it beats him down and takes him physically and mentally out of games.

He need to be in a situation similar to that Mark Jackson when he played in the latter stages of his career, slow him down, not give him a lot of minutes, don't push him and you'll keep him healthy and starting for many of those 3 years left.

That was supposed to be a joke right?

God I hope so. Or maybe he means he has a warriors heart and soul when he is out on the town?

Chad Ford mentioned Tinsley in his chat today.

Ian (Indy): Now that the Pacers-Raptors and Pacers-Blazers trades are official, do you think that there are any more deals that make sense out there for Indy? Please say someone is willing to take Tinsley and Williams off our hands. I would have said McHale, but they don't have anything I would want that they would give up (Jefferson). GS - Baby Al (3rd times a charm) for Tinsley and Williams?

Chad Ford: It actually sounds, believe it or not, that there are teams interested in Tinsley. The Warriors need a point guard. So do the Heat. If a team is convinced he's healthy, they might pull the trigger. I do think a Al Harrington for Tinsley deal isn't out of the question. Makes sense for both teams.

It's nice to hear that we may be able to get a useful player out of him.

To get a useful player out of Tinsley would be a godsend, but I am not that hopeful. I am expecting either a buyout or a bad contract.

I hope to see something like:
Tinsley - servicable PG
Daniels - versatile wing, and exp
2010 2nd

FOR

Harrington

IND wants to get rid of Tinsley at any cost but would prefer not to buy him out. Not too many options so we will probably not get much and actually get the losing end of the deal.

GS needs a PG, and is rumored to be shopping Harrington. Tinsley fits that style of play. Daniels gives them depth and versatility. Not too mention good bit of cap space. The draft pick is just sweetner.

I'm a strong believer that Harrintons last stint here was a failure due to JO. I would welcome him back in a minute

wow. I can't believe that teams are so desperate that we are actually talking about Tinsley having trade value. I think this was unheard of just a month ago. I guess props to Bird for keeping Tinsley around. Anything that we get for him will be better. Since draft night, i've been saying i hope Al Harrington returns and that opinion hasn't changed. I think he can be a real solid player here at PF with Hibbert at C.

I'm pretty sure any player with the same length of contract as Tinsley would be a plus than simply buying him out. That being said, if we could get Al Harrington for some sort of Tinsley swap, we'd be wise to do it. Harrington can be a bit of a black hole, but he'd give us a pretty versatile scoring threat in the froncourt and is a better defender than Murphy.

How on earth does Harrington-to-Tinsley make sense for us?

I'd do that deal Daniels and JT plus a 2nd for Al Harrington in a second but the money doesn't quite work there would have to be someone else added to the deal from GS. Maybe add Bellinelli and make the pick a conditional #1. Top 10 protected for 2009 and Top 5 protected for 2010.

I agree that Al's last time here was screwwed up because of JO and one other thing to consider he has a player option for 2009-10 so he would likely bust his but to play well and have a big yr this yr, opt out and we'd save like $10million plus have Bellinelli to show for it. That is if the Warriors would make such a move. The only other way I see to do it is to S&T Kelenna Azubuike AKA Kleenex Bazooki to about $3 million and put him in the deal. I'd be happy with that too.

we'd take about anything for Tins and Shawne. Harrington actually matches up with the combined salary and he only has a year left. I'll be GS has already turned down that offer though,

Why don't we trade Tinsley to Minnesota.

Trade ID #4716283

Brian Cardinal

for

Jamaal Tinsley + 2nd rounder

Both players are injury prone. Minnesota is very weak at the PG position as well. I believe the only PG they have is Foye and he is injury prone as well.

Get on the phone Larry Bird and call up your old buddy Kevin McHale and get this done!

I think I already commented on this in the trade board, but I love it.

Save long term money, and get a guy who will contribute just as much if not more than Tinsley next season.
