Guess we can forget about him coming back to the Pacers at some point.
He really didn't seem like the type to do drugs. What the heck.

Re: Brad Miller
This is surprising. Doesn't really fit my image of Brad Miller as I always saw him as a good clean country boy. I wouldn't rule out bringing him back though. A lot can change in 2 seasons.

Re: Brad Miller
I'm just guessing, but I'd think it's just recreational pot use.
However, he had to know the league's policy.

For a substance like pot-- In order to get the five game suspension, it has to be his THIRD failed drug test.

Tested positive for mixing Skoal and Copenhagen.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

This is exactly why I think the league should disclose the details...

Kings center Brad Miller has been suspended for five games by the NBA for violating the league’s Anti-Drug policy. I’m purely speculating here, but I suspect that Miller is strictly a casual marijuana smoker. With that said, why doesn’t the league specify what the transgression was? At this point, some idiot in Sacramento can allege he knows Miller was busted for coke…
No disrespect, with the idiot comment

Re: Brad Miller
I could see Brad doing a bit of high class recreational Marijuana
. If I was to take a second guess, I would say some kind Hallucigen (sp?). Perhaps mushrooms but I really do not know that those show up on drug tests (similar to Soma). On the other hand though, the NBA is a huge corporation and could easily order up tests that show anything. If I remember right from my days of studying different drug tests, those are referred to as "10 Panels." Those show anything and everything, including Mushrooms I would think.
To be honest, it would not surprise me a bit that half or more of the players in the league do smoke. I'm sure that most would only do it in the off season though. Personally, I would not be willing to gamble my millions over pot but the thinking probably is that they won't get tested and that it is no big deal since you can quit at any time without problems.
With that said, I have more problems with Brads salary than the pot
He puts up the numbers but I'm guessing that he still plays no D and therefore gives up what he produces.

The dude JUMPED back after having two mediocre years and having some injury problems. I wouldn't be surprised if he took some performance enhancing drug.

That would not surprise me either. Steroids and the such have seemed to be of those unspoken issues for the NBA.

First of all, I was joking given the timing of it and all with the whole Matt Jones busted for cocaine thing the big story when I posted that. I fully suspect it was marijuana, but if it was cocaine, would it really be that big of a surprise?

In the NBA you never know. I am willing to bet drug use in the NBA is very widespread and Brad just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
