This highlight reminded me that Milwaukee has the most annoying color guy in the league. I try to watch TJ as much as I can, he's a stud. I was so glad when TJ was traded from the Bucks it meant I wouldn't have to listen to that guy anymore.

TJ is a great player. People shouldn't moan about him going into "take over" mode. He rarely gets on those kicks, and when he does it's because

a) he's found a match-up he can exploit with ease (Arroyo in Game 3)
b) no one else is willing to step up and he takes it as a calculated risk. it's the "if you're going to lose, go down fighting" mentality.

I've never seen TJ's "selfish" play. I've seen him try to do too much (in Orlando when Bosh was out) but he did it with the right intentions in mind. He's not a selfish player; dont let anyone tell you otherwise. He is, however, very set in his role. TJ Ford is a starter and he'll show no reservations about mentioning this. Nor should he, since the guy has outstanding talent. He has his flaws, but selfishness really isn't one of them. This "tension" between PGs was hammed up by the media and bored fans, don't make anything of it. With his role clearly defined on the Pacers, I'd expect him to flourish. Frankly, I'm glad TJ was the one who was traded. Not because I'm "Pro-Jose" or "Anti-TJ", but because the kid needs a new environment and doesn't deserve the unnecessary controversy that built around him.

He's very well suited to an offence that's willing to run, and he'll look really good playing alongside Danny Granger. He's never had a stud on the wings and I think that really opens things up for him.

Chris Paul
Deron Williams
Tony Parker
Jason Kidd
Baron Davis
Steve Nash
Chauncey Billups
Allen Iverson
Gilbert Arenas
Andre Miller
Devin Harris
Derek Rose (I don't care if he hasn't played an NBA game. I take him over TJ any day of the week.)
Jose Calderon
Mike Bibby (Toss up)
OJ Mayo (Maybe a SG but I'd take him as my PG over Ford also.)

Ford fits in somewhere around here which does make him a top 15-20 PG in the league. He's good but not great. You say he will be playing with competent players for once? Are you insinuating that the Raptor team is incompetent. I don't understand your argument. We made the playoffs the past two years and have this all star named Chris Bosh who is very competent on the court. Oh and TJ doesn't attack the rim at will. He over dribbles the ball far to often and then proceeds to jack up a bad percentages shot which usually misses. Sometimes he finds the open man for wide open looks but don't act as if this happens each and every time down the court. I think TJ will show Pacer fans flashes of brilliance like he did in Toronto but ultimately his inconsistency and inability to hit a long range jumper will show the true player he is and that is an average to above average PG. I believe the best situation for TJ would be coming off the bench for a contender. Problem is we already know that TJ isn't a back up. He told us so last year when he sulked coming off the bench.

You sound like a bitter Raptors fan, trying to prove that TJ Ford is not that good. Am I right? Are you a Raptors fan?

Most of the positive replies were from Raptor fans too, and what he is saying isn't that far off when talking realistically/pessimistically

Sure, those guys wish TJ the best even though he's not a part of their team anymore.

It's not just that quoted post. It's the other posts before that. He's like a guy who's desperately in love with some girl who's in love with another guy, trying to make the other guy look like a douchebag, leaving the girl disappointed.

I wish the Pacers all the best with their newly aquired point guard! He's a huge upgrade over Tinsley and will rack up the assists in a hurry with guys like Rush, Granger and Dunleavy on the wings. He'll get more room to operate for himself as well. 15 and 8 guaranteed. Good trade guys.
