Ok, this topic is approaching way out of hand. Moderator might need to consider this topic locked.

I see no reason to lock it. Perhaps delete the ahartleyvu comment because some of the post seemed like trolling. None of us know the entire story behind the ordeal but we obviously have different views of local area law enforcement and I did not get the impression that ahartleyvu is even from the area let alone added anything of value to the topic. I'll go ahead and flag his post but I don't believe there is a reason to lock the topic. I feel there has been some productive conversations despite the different views.

Sticking to Shawne though, I think this will be his end as a Pacer. As mizzou pointed out, we have existing options at the forward spots and he looks even more expendable after this newest ordeal. I personally hope we keep him but just do not see that happening. Between not being able as of now to get rid of a real trouble maker in JT, the low fan support, and Shawne's continued small troubles, I think he will be a scape goat and as much as I don't like to say it, rightfully so. I feel bad for the guy because I hear he comes from a very rough area but if Tyson Chandler can keep his act right when hailing from Compton, Shawne should be able to step up and has failed so far. If for nothing else, the money should be worth it. Only time will tell what happens with Shawne.

Lol, the last three posts made me laugh for some reason.

At this point, I don't see a reason to lock this thread or delete any posts, however this should move back to Shawne's future with the team and away from a discussion of racial profiling. This is a basketball board, and that is a subject that cannot suitably be addressed here.

No one is denying the existence of such behavior but no one on this board can speak to the exact nature of events in this particular case. As a Pacer forum, we are not seeking to resolve, or even address, such weighty issues.

If, however, this thread cannot stay on the rather innocuous and mundane topic of Shawne's future on the team, and continues to wander into this minefiled of a topic, then we will have to lock it.

Thanks
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Has anyone heard anything about what came out of the team's meeting with Shawne today?

Unbelieveable. I knew that the moment Shawne made a public statement about being on thin ice, he was gonna find his way back into bad PR once again! Very reminicient of how the big new PR campaign that featured Stephen Jackson and Jamaal Tinsley came out with the slogan "It's up to us!" a couple of seasons ago and then Club Rio happened....

At least the marijuana wasn't his, right? Just like it wasn't Jamaal's either inside his car at Club Rio, right?

I think Shawne will not be in a pacers uni at the start of the regular season, and if he is, he'll be quickly dealt by all-star break.

23artest23,

Sorry, but I am not a troll. Nice avatar though.

back to the topic... I don't see Shawne on our team next season. We really don't need him anyways.

Thank you. It was a classic album, eh? Though I'd like to change it to the "All Eyez On Me" cover, it does not match my signature of Danny.

Shawne needs to go to a team like San Antonio
The Playoffs don't care about your Analytics
