Buying a player out is always a last resort. It's never good to reward failure, but in the Pacers case if they can't move him before the season starts he is eventually going to get bought out. And in my opinion there is no way they are going to be able move him in a trade that makes sense for both teams.

I don't care what smoke screen the team is sending out. Tin Man isn't going to be with the team for one second this season and if it has to come to negotiating a buyout they will do it.

The Walsh days are over. Bird for the most part is pretty straight forward. I havent heard him straight up say something is or isnt going to happen and it not be the truth. Also its one thing for Bird to say this. And even Morway to say it. But for the owner of the team which up until this has not been a public figure for the pacers to sau this. I have a feeling its true. And I think the majority of the fans and community are behind them on this. so if you want him make us an offer worst case senario we trade him in two years when his value is high for his large exp.
