You guys seem to get outraged every time you read or hear a Pacers official say point guard Jamaal Tinsley won't be back with the team next season.
I dont know if I have it makes me very happy to hear.
Don't assume Marquis Daniels won't be in the mix for minutes at the swingman because the Pacers acquired Brandon Rush. Daniels, a 25 percent 3-point shooter in his career, has been working on his jump shot with former NBA player Mark Price, a 47 percent shooter in his career, in Atlanta.
This actually surprised me. I thought he would either be traded or let go by the end of the season, but maybe if he gets his act together and gets back to what he was when we aquired him. Maybe we will take a hard look at resigning him.
Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy are expected to start at shooting guard and small forward with the first swingman position off the bench wide open.
No surprise.
New point guard T.J. Ford may be the frontrunner to be the team's new locker room leader. Word is Ford has been working out at Conseco Fieldhouse and he reached out to his teammates to encourage them to also work out downtown.
Bird recently said there were about seven or eight players, which is a relatively high number for this time of the offseason, in town working out at the Fieldhouse. He also added that the team's staff regularly flies to check on the players working out in other cities.
This sounds liek some really great news. It sounds like we finally have our leader, and that he's really trying to get our team to mesh.
