This is going to be the ninth in our series of projections and discussions about all of our players this year. Essentially, we'll go through all 15 Pacers (I'm excluding Droopy) and talk about our expectations. Each poster will cut and paste form below and fill it out, adding their reasoning at the bottom. The reasoning is the most important, as it will help the conversation.
The first five guys will go up today, and they will be the fringe players. Then will come the rotational players, then we'll get to our key players. If you're looking to do a little research on the guys, I'd suggest BBR as the best statistical site.
So, here we start with:
Jarrett Jack
Games Played:
Games Lost To Injury:
DNP-CD's:

Points per Game:

Assists per Game:
FG%:
3FG%:
FT%:
Other Key Stats (can be Steals, Blocks, TO's, A/TO ratio, etc.)
Reasoning/Synopsis: Describe why you think this player will provide these numbers. What will his role be? What's his best-case? What's his worst-case?
Lets get started.

I think he's going to be pretty solid as a backup pg. There's been noise about trying him at two guard also. That seems kind of experimental to me, but who knows, it just might give us a little different wrinkle against certain matchups.

I think he'll give us about 13 minutes at the point and 10 or so at the two-guard. I don't think he's quite the point guard a lot of Pacer fans think he is, he really is more of an undersized shooting guard.

Re: What Will They Do? (#9 Jarrett Jack)
depends upon how the experiment of using him and TJ together goes. if he can get minutes at two, we might see him on the court as much as 24 minutes and averaging double figure points. if he turns out to be strictly a one, divide that in half.

I agree with the above posts. If Jack can play the 2 and at the same time with TJ, he can have bigger minutes and bigger numbers. Nonetheless, he's a solid back-up who has the capabilities of a starter.

Jack could easily see about 6 to 8 minutes more a night than I'm projecting here, but I'm assuming a pretty full season from TJ Ford, some minutes for Travis at the point, and most of the SG minutes getting gobbled up by Junior, Brandon, & Danny. He'll be a key bench player, and it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for him to get more minutes. He'll be there pretty much every night, and I expect him to be a really important player in the lockerroom.
