No Tinsley or Shawne on Pacers.com

I was watching all the player faces that alternate on the top banner at pacers.com I saw every player except Tinsley or Shawne. Is that a sign or am I being hopeful. By the way Im at work with a lot of down time. Just thought Id include that info so you didnt think I have no life. lol.

I tried it probably 300 times and saw everyone except for Jack, Baston, Ford, McRoberts - everyone we traded for - and Shawne and Jamaal.

By the way, you don't have to refresh the page to reload the banner. Just right click on it and choose play and the banner will automatically replay with a different player.

This would be news if they weren't listed on the roster. It's probably some programming error.

probably wishful thinking on the part of Pacers.com but I can tell you that a few months ago I was hearing that the front office people where saying that Tinsley wouldn't be back but they didn't understand the contract issues. now I am hearing that the coaches don't want him back. my read is that this is no longer just a public relations thing. it's become a team chemistry thing.

As the Pacers.com main webpage is the 1st page that most fans go to...I'm wouldn't be surprised if this was done on purpose since TPTB don't want to have them associated with anything that is PR related ( since the website could be considered part of their Marketing campaign ).

It could mean something.....my question is whether Rasho is included in that scrolling Banner or not.

That's funny. It reminds of the Blazers pregame video that they showed on the scoreboard. It featured all the players looking very dramatic, then about halfway through the season Darius MIles disappeared from it. He was gone a month or two later.

I'm pretty sure the front office people understand the contract issues. They're the ones that have to work out the trades, buy outs, etc. In fact, if there's anyone who wouldn't fully understand contract issues it would be the coaches, although usually they're in charge of most player decisions so if they want to keep their jobs they'll pay attention to those things.

this is a fairly recent change. i remember tinsley popping up on the top of the screen a couple weeks ago and thought it was a bit odd given all the hating from management.

They've updated it. They've now added Jack, Baston, Ford, and McRoberts. Still no sign of Shawne or Jamaal. No Rasho sighting yet, either, but that's most likely because he's been overseas and hasn't had a photo taken in a Pacer uniform yet.

It's probably nothing more than making sure to distance Shawne, and especially Jamaal, as much as possible from the team.
