A nice heart felt story about a young players dream. I love the fact that Bird started the conversation out with "Is someone sleeping, This is Larry Bird"

Ya damn right when Bird talks, wake the fk up, lol

Good story. I don't see this guy making it anywhere though. Expierence is a major thing in basketball and pro sports. This kid lacks alot. He hasn't played in too many competitions, not in many tournaments or against many good teams. He never played infront of big crowds. He's 25 now and trying to play a young mens sport. I'm sure he can get a tryout but thats it. Make a few hundred bucks and call it a career.

On a side note, interesting to see Larry Bird is still looking for playmakers.

Good for him, and good for Larry. I know the NBA is kill or be killed, but I am glad Larry is thinking outside the box to fill needs and to find talent, if he can grab a discount player to help them out he's doing better than most GMs.

Thats what I was thinking. Why is Bird even looking at another PG unless..............................

A potnetial trade with one of our PG's is in the works
He doesn't have enough confidence in Diener
Tinsleys gone and he wants a 3rd point guard
He is trying to sign him away from Riley so he will have to take Tinsley

I think it was probably more about inviting him to our summer league team. The way I took it is that this didnt happen too recently.
