i glanced over this earlier... and quit reading. absolutely ridiculous. the pacers are going to surprise everybody - except me. we were right around a .500 team last year. but considering our off-season acquisitions, unless we suffer some key injuries, we will be much better this year. if we can make one more decent move (parlay some combination of tinsley, daniels, nesterovic, and williams for a decent pf), i think we are a serious contender in the east.

While i agree that we will exceed most people's expextations this year, i really can't see us contending the East. The playoffs are not a stretch by any means, but the Celtics, Pistons, Cavs, Magic and Wizards should be too much quality for us.
