HoopsHype.com/DraftExpress collaborateur Jonathan Givony reports the offer sheet Carl Landry has signed with the Charlotte Bobcats is for three years and $9 million. Houston will almost certainly match.

The Rockets were previously offering Landry three years and $6.8 million, one source told Givony. Indiana and Cleveland were close to extending offer sheets as well

The Pacers were never in the running. :oops:

Houston will match. $3M a year? That may end up as the steal of the decade.

1) He signed an offer sheet. He cannot sign with a team until the deadline has passed for Houston to match, which they almost certainly will.

2) Indiana was in the running. The part that said we were close to extending an offer sheet means that Charlotte, Indiana, Cleveland, and Houston were the four teams involved in potentially signing Landry.

Nope, he's either with the Bobs, or more likely, retained by Houston. So much for him getting the MLE. I remember there was discussion of that nature earlier this summer.

Nope. Means he's either with Houston if they decide to match the offer, or with Charlotte if Houston declines to match the offer.

I think the title of this thread is a little misleading as Landry never actually signed with the Bobcats they just offered him a contract, Houston matched a few days ago I believe. At least now we can cross him off our list of potential PF's to be acquired.

He did SIGN an offer sheet....I guess.

But yeah. Anyways, it's over. Houston matched it in less than 24 hours.
