Pacers/Clippers trade

Post#1 » by pacershereiam » Sat Sep 27, 2008 7:15 pm

I was thinking what team could use Tinsley. The Clippers have Baron Davis and really no backup. Jason Hart? No thanks. So what about this:

Indiana Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: +0.5 ppg, +1.6 rpg, and -5.7 apg.
Incoming Players
Tim Thomas
6-10 SF / PF from Villanova
12.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.7 apg in 30.8 minutes
Outgoing Players
Jamaal Tinsley
6-1 PG from Iowa State
11.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 8.4 apg in 33.2 minutes
L.A. Clippers Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: -0.5 ppg, -1.6 rpg, and +5.7 apg.
Incoming Players
Jamaal Tinsley
6-1 PG from Iowa State
11.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 8.4 apg in 33.2 minutes
Outgoing Players
Tim Thomas
6-10 SF / PF from Villanova
12.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.7 apg in 30.8 minutes

Tinsley for Thomas straight up maybe throw in a second round pick for him? I think it is a fair trade. He can play PF for us too.

CLippers:
Davis/Tinsley
Mobley/Gordon
Thorton/Davis
Camby/Davis
Kaman/Skinner

Pacers:
Ford/Jack/Diener
Dunleavy/Rush/Daniels
Granger/Williams/Graham
Murphy/Thomas/Croshere
Foster/Rasho/Hibbert

Gordon's not a PG, but I can't see them doing this when they can sign a backup a whole lot cheaper and he'd probably do for them as much as Tinsley would. And before anyone says it I know Gordon is listed as a PG/SG and wants to pay PG in the NBA but I've seen him play in college and while I can see him playing there in the future he is not a reliable backup at PG and more than likely won't be this year.

I looked at the same possibility when I saw that JW retired.

Gordan reminds me of iverson. a little undersized for the sg position but too much of a ballhog to be the pg. will want the glory and wont win crap.
