Early Tuesday afternoon at Conseco Fieldhouse, Indiana Pacers coach Jim O'Brien stopped the action and walked near the free throw line.
"The entire point of the drill," he emphasized, "is keeping the basketball out of the paint."
It was only the first training camp practice, but the Pacers were at work on what they feel is a key component behind their offseason overhaul.

Man it feels really good to know that this new team has officially begun to take shape. No more talk, just getting down to business and preparing for the season. I think I'm going to try and make a personal attempt to not even think about the Tinsley issue anymore, so that I can just feel good about the team that we have. The deal is going to get done! Let's just sit back on focus on the guys we will be putting on the floor once the season starts.
Looks like Coach O'Brien is throwing Rush right in there and having him guard our best wing. Good to see the kid getting some experience. I think he's going to be one of the surprise rookies to make a real impact on their team this season.
