OT Eric Gordon goes off!!!!

Post#1 » by HicksvsKnicks08 » Thu Oct 16, 2008 1:37 pm

Eric Gordon Goes Off : No Baron Davis, no Al Thornton – no problem. The Clippers got by the Sacramento Kings behind a monster game from rookie Eric Gordon, who nailed six three pointers, a clutch free throw and a dominating 33 points in 31 minutes. Gordon got some help from fellow rookie Mike Taylor who was ballin' in the D-League last year. Taylor knocked in 21 points in 37 minutes. Kings star Kevin Martin got his first game of the pre-season scoring 29 points in 22 minutes going 9 for 11 from the field. Baron Davis did not travel with the team due to the Flu, while 2nd year stud Al Thornton sat out with an injured wrist.

Man, I love it when a local from Naptown makes it. I wish we could have done evrything to get him. PAcers have never had a home grown star on their team.

That is great to see Gordon doing well. He is such a raw talent at this point and has tons of potential.

On Monday physicians successfully removed a benign growth from D.J. White’s jaw, the team announced today. Team physicians will perform the second phase of the surgery, where they will mend the jaw with a bone graft taken from White’s hip, in approximately six weeks White’s expected recovery time remains 4-6 months.

Hopefully DJ will bounce back from this because I am looking forward to seeing him pay too. Go IU!!

It's the preseason.

We won't know if he's the real deal until he hits, or surpasses, the wall in February.

Damon Bailey? That pick turned out to be an epic failure.

There's no such thing as a 2nd round pick that was an "epic failure". The expectations are simply too low. Rationally, you expect the vast majority of them to fail, and a large number of them never to play a regular season game anyway.

The only way I could think a 2nd round pick could qualify as an "epic failure" is if he accidentally backed over your team's star player with his car when he was leaving after final cuts.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Quote of the year. Wow, that was funny.

Only took Gordon 24 shots to get those 33 points too. And that's coming off the bench. Did he pass at all?

George Washington High School. I know that's what you meant.

Also can't forget guys like Andre Owens from Perry Meridian High School, and going back to guys like Billy Keller (also a George Washington High School grad as well).
