Mike Kahn on PMSNBC (as Rush Limbaugh calls it) selects Roy Hibbert as the worst rookie of the year.

Either we're smoking some good shee-it, or Kahn is a moron. Which is it?

Probably a little bit of both.

Worst rookie is taking it kinda far. I mean, clearly there have to be some worse rookies or he's just picking on Roy for some unknown reason. Either way, dude obviously has no idea what he's talking about. He probably hasn't even seen Hibbert this preseason because he's far from being the worst rookie.

Adrian Warjanorwski (sp) of Yahoo! Sports named Hibbert and B. Rush as two rookies to look out for this season so maybe it's not just us sipping on the Hibbert Aid.

It wouldn't be nearly as fun if every writer declared him a genius. Hell, i remeber alot of member in this board being disappointed in the draft pick only a few short months ago. He's a refreshing new talent though. Someone who will need a heck of alot of time on the court to define exactly how to apply himself. I honestly don't mind him being touted as the worst rookie, because it's simply just ludacris.

Most of us are saying Roy can be a good player. How is that going overboard? That's far less extreme than saying he will be the worst rookie. Also our comments are being matched or even surpassed by journalists, bloggers, radio announcers, TV analysts, etc who have actually seen Roy play in person this preseason. Even more important Roy has earned raves from his teammates, coaches and the Pacers' management not just for how he is a person but for the type of player he is. At ths stage of his career that's about as much you can ask for. Last of all considering the general consensus of experts and fanboys on message boards, Roy exceeded expectations in the preseason games. He also has made the regular rotation according to all reports. That's impressive for a guy drafted at #17 with experienced players at his position ahead of him.
