Very good point.

That's the benefit if having two very solid point guards. I thought Jack was awesome tonight. The way he took on the Boston defense with no fear and his defense. He hit his free throws and spread the ball around pretty well. I am not sure too many point guards in this league could have had a better 4th quarter then Jack did tonight vs. Celtics defense. Don't forget, Pacers got very cold shooting late in this game, and Jack took the ball because he wanted it, and scored i believe at one point 6 straight points.

No disrespect to TJ Ford, i love the guy and he will get more minutes in most games, but when Jack is playing like he did tonight, there was no reason to sit him down.

I have TJ on my fantasy team and he played 21 min were as Jack played over 32, I know TJ has had problem guarding Rondo in the past which may explain tonight's playing time but I have heard O'Brian likes Jack a lot. Do you guys think this was only for tonight or will Jack's time keep increasing at the cost of Ford's minutes?

I think on average, Ford will play more. I agree that Jack is better at guarding Rondo, and you might see Jack play more against point guards that have Rondo's penetration capability.

Even though our Pacers lost, we actually had some conversation tonight! It made the game more fun and we need to have a lot of conversation in years past (I wouldn't be a part of it, but I would be an interested reader). :)

Because we've sucked, pure and simple.

Although I think this gamethread has gotten a lot of love for three reasons:

1. Marquee matchup that was pushed into OT.
2. I accounted for about a third of the total posts (I don't say that with pride, necessarily, but...)
3. Tradition

And from now on, I guess gamethreads will be first-come first-served since I haven't seen the mods update the signup in a while.

I'm going to always go for one, though. If I haven't put up at least a placeholder at least two hours prior to a game, then go for it. Otherwise, I'll have one ready to go by gametime. Tradition even catches the eyes of opposing posters (wonder why...)
