I hope you beat Winton, lol

Man my love for hip-hop tells me never to play anything past 2001. Hip-hop has been taken over by Coporate America and is now Garbage(with a capital)

The right guys to listen to today include the people who pay their respects. In fact, Common went out and got Roy Hargrove to play on a record, while Q-tip invited Ron Carter to bassline for him. Of course, all the mainstream stuff really sucks, I genuinely feel myself get stupider as I listen to guys like E-40 make no sense.

I love the new jack swing, same as the old swing.

Wynton Marsalis has a jumpshot you wouldn't believe.

He actually shut down my band director from high school. It was a great moment, because our band director wasn't a very good jazz teacher, just a good taskmaster, so we didn't place in the competition but I got me two soloist awards.

The play that I will always remember is my band teacher trying to post up Wynton, and he spun, popped, and got the shot denied. It was amazing.

I dislike what Wynton is doing to jazz, making it into a classical art form, but that's inevitable of all music, and if Wynton doesn't do it, someone else will. But however much I disagree with that elitist, he has my respect on the hardwood, haha.
