Ok LA, Boston, and Cleveland fans so far in 2009 everything is gravy with your franchises all three have incredible won-loss records on January 5, 2009 but in just over 16 months the NBA landscape will change. By next summer it is possible the Portland Trailblazers will have its first NBA title since 1977. In any case Tim Duncan will no longer be able to carry the Spurs; Byron Scott will probably have worn his welcome out in New Orleans, the big 3 in Boston will be old by then and Kobe will probably self implode because Andrew Bynum has not turned into the next great LA big man.Besides that some of the fake contenders of this year you can forget about, i.e. Houston, Phoenix, Dallas, Utah, and Pistons. So this brings me to the low rent district of NBA teams like the Knicks, Bulls, Pacers, Clippers, Warriors, Bobcats, etc. These teams have all but given up on this season and next despite the spin their front office will give you. With that said I give to you a snapshot of what could lie ahead, with the addition of one or more of the following players.
Pacers – Could any of these free agents be enticed into playing in a small market like Indiana ? Mike Dunleavy if he comes back and play like he did in 2007 to go along with up and coming star Danny Granger might someone like Chris Bosh be the final piece to the puzzle.

I never really thought about us being major players in 2010 but if Granger has reached superstar status and Roy and Rush have developed, is there any chance that Bosh could come to Indy if Toronto isn't working out? Seems like a perfect fit.
