Whats up fellas?
I have a history of meeting ballers & celebs at Hawks games - Jarrett Jack, Pastor Troy, Dominique Wilkins, a bunch of players from SEC teams during March Madness, and now Dale Davis!
I was stumbling out to the smoking section last night and on my way out, I noticed a tall man who looked exactly like Dale Davis. I walked outside and smoked my cigarette, came back in, walked back by the Jack Daniels bar, and I decided I would approach him. I knew who he was off top I just wanted to be 100% sure because I was a lil tipsy.
Me: You used to play basketball didn't you?
Dale: Somethin like that
Me: Yeah I know who you are, who'd you play for?
Dale: Indiana and..(me interrupting)
Me: The Blazers and the Pistons, too right?
Dale: Haha yeah somethin like that......
and so on. We went on to talk about his glory days with the Pacers and Blazers, and such.
Anyway, I talked to Dale for around 5-10 minutes. He was cool as hell and a bit drunk himself. Here's a picture that my brother and I took with him. My brother boxes, so he threw up the fist but as we took the pic Dale instructed us to "chunk up with the deuces fellas" hahaha
Dale was definitely one of the coolest hoopers I've met - I think he was tryin to get laid at the Jack Daniels Bar cuz he had chick after chick coming up to him, exchanging numbers.
