Exhibition matches against friends with default rosters. What are you going to do?
In Association mode, I traded him really fast.

l play live and i take off the auto substitution I don't know if the 2k series will let you do that.
As for real life, i say we bring Jamaal back. I don't like it but if we hope to trade him in the off season for anything we need to increase his value. it's like the Artest thing we were lucky to get peja for Artest after making it clear we didn't want him on the team. It might not be good for PR but we need to trade the guy. i really believe that if the Narz deal was offered Bird woulda took it.
I would have loved to see a deal made to get Chandler or even Wilcox, Brad Miller was traded, would it be nice to see Brad back in a pacers uni? hell yeah. But we got what we got for now, so we're gonna wait till summer. it's gonna be a long 6 months.

I play 2k9 as well, and the first thing I do in Association mode is trade Tinsley. For whatever reason, the 2k9 people give him a fairly decent rating (82 I think). In comparison, Granger is an 85 and Ford is an 84. Me being the Hoosier homer than I am, traded Tinsley for Eric Gordon (it's easier to trade in 2k9 than Live). There may have been other minor parts to the deal, but that was the gist of it.

Haha this is kind of off topic but I dealt JT right away in my franchise too, I got Carl Landry and a 1st round pick for him and a throw in, if only it were that easy in real life

It's cause the GM's in video games don't care if you criticize your own player you're trying to trade.

Maybe someday you guys will be exposed to a successful team and have a harder time accepting less.

Seriously...explain to me why the hell it would matter. Every GM in the league knows Tinsley's talent level, health history, and clubhouse history is. 2 months of playing isn't going to change anything. It's not going to magically undo anything he's already done, and it's not going to magically make him healthy.
Playing Tinsley is not going to do anything positive to his value. The only thing it could possibly do is negate any value he might possibly have because he'd play like a sullen little teenager like he always did, and probably make people think he doesn't even have the talent anymore.
Bringing Tinsley back in has no positives, and a **** of negatives. A metric ****.

Re: SO... What now? The Tank!
^^I second that. I don't want him on the court for Indiana ever again. It merits nothing.

I don't want him to play for the pacers again but I don't think we're gonna be able to trade him unless we show we're willing to keep him.

Re: SO... What now? The Tank!
Even if we played him, other GM's will call our bluff and see what we're trying to do.
We have to let Tinsley stay away. If it takes a buyout, then a buyout it takes. Yes, that's about the worst case scenario, and let's Tinsley basically walk away in a better position for having done all his shenanigans, but the umbilical cord has to be cut soon. If we can't move him this next offseason, don't even let him take up a roster spot.

Do you think it will take that long Scoot? Any chance of a decision being reached sooner than that? I mean, we all know the guy wants to get back to playing.

Re: SO... What now? The Tank!
I have a feeling the NBA is gonna side with JT on this deal if we don't let him come back their gonna force us to release him. The things he's done haven't been all that bad really, I know we don't want him here because of the fan perception, but to the league their gonna tell us "bring him back or release him." Question is for us is this, 'is it better to release him/buy him out or is it better to bring him back?'' if he it's till the draft what chance do we have of moving him? At that point he has only 2 yrs on his deal. Could we trade him for a Nazr Mohammad or Gadzuric and give them $3 million to offset some of the $14 millon JT is owed?
